Ignacio has chosen TWERK IT LIKE MILEY as his entrance music. Morrison Erikksen had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erikksen dives in and grabs Ignacio's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ignacio pushes down on Erikksen's head and hops out.

Ignacio moves into the clinch successfully.

Erikksen pulls guard successfully.
Erikksen looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Ignacio trying to move into half guard but instead Erikksen has managed to sweep!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Erikksen tries to stand but Ignacio is controlling from the bottom.
Erikksen stops Ignacio from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ignacio is working an open guard so Erikksen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Morrison Erikksen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ignacio gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Erikksen is standing up over Ignacio. Ignacio looks to escape but Erikksen dives into side control.

Ignacio tries to bench press Erikksen off him but Erikksen keeps the position.

A head kick misses from Ignacio.
Nice sprawl there from Ignacio as Erikksen shoots in.
Ignacio displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Erikksen.

Ignacio misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Erikksen.
Erikksen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ignacio.
Erikksen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ignacio sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Erikksen somewhat.
Ignacio leaves Erikksen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Ignacio will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Erikksen half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Ignacio throws a lazy right hand but Erikksen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Erikksen goes for a double leg but Ignacio avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ignacio continues to drive forward.
Erikksen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ignacio defends it nicely.

Ignacio closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Erikksen breaks from the clinch.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Ignacio has eaten all the pies!
Ignacio swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Erikksen counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Ryan Ignacio has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Erikksen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ignacio circles away.

Ignacio clinches up against the cage.
Ignacio gets underhooks to prevent Erikksen's takedown attempt.
Ignacio drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

A nice left hand lands by Erikksen.
Ignacio wants to break free but Erikksen has control.

Erikksen drops Ignacio onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Ignacio is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Erikksen avoids a wild elbow strike from Ignacio.

Erikksen just leaning against Ignacio, taking a breather.
Ignacio seems to have recovered his senses.
Erikksen will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ignacio up against the cage.
Erikksen gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Erikksen dips a shoulder and cracks Ignacio with a mighty uppercut! Ignacio falls back against the cage and Erikksen unloads with a barrage of strikes! Ignacio is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Erikksen screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
