Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Braulio Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clifton Von Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Von Lee has chosen Day of Anger as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Von Lee.
Von Lee looks to score with a jab to the body but Escobar is just out of range.
Escobar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Escobar is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Von Lee.
Von Lee throws a body shot but no joy.
It looked like Escobar wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Von Lee throws a big shot that misses.
Nice defenses there by Escobar.
It looked like Escobar was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Von Lee.
Von Lee throws the kick towards the body but Escobar avoids it.

Escobar throws a jab but it's blocked by Von Lee.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Escobar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Von Lee lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Escobar has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Escobar and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Escobar appears to be looking for a big counter.
Escobar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Escobar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Von Lee has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Escobar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A head kick misses from Escobar.
Escobar looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Von Lee uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Escobar.
Von Lee takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Escobar throws the left hand but Von Lee avoids the punch easily.
Von Lee drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Escobar wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Von Lee manages to pass to side control.

Von Lee stands and throws Escobar's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Escobar is not content to let Von Lee control the position.
Von Lee scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Escobar to see if he's OK.
Escobar tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Von Lee easily slips into full mount!

Escobar is trying desperately to improve position.
Escobar wants to hold on but Von Lee pushes him away.
Von Lee lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Escobar is rocked!
Von Lee is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Escobar can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Oh Escobar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Von Lee postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Escobar looks a forlorn figure.
Escobar tries to hold on but Von Lee pushes him away.
Von Lee postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Escobar in real trouble here! The ref calls for Escobar to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clifton Von Lee!
After winning the bout, Clifton Von Lee thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
