Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shanji Bikram!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Stewart Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bikram.
Bikram slips under a jab.
Hunter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hunter shoots for a double leg takedown but Bikram sprawls well. He's pushed Hunter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hunter dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hunter fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Hunter jabbing away but nothing is landing.

and Bikram counters with a straight right hand.
Hunter has a takedown stuffed.
Bikram has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bikram tries a low kick but Hunter avoids it.
Bikram throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hunter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hunter lands with an uppercut that bounces Bikram off the cage and back into range.
Hunter scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A looping hook to the body misses from Bikram. Hunter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bikram misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hunter.
Hunter throws a series of punches but Bikram avoids them all with ease.
Hunter is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bikram.
Hunter shoots in for a takedown but Bikram shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Shanji Bikram has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stewart Hunter.
Hunter looks to land a right hand but Bikram moved out of range.

and Bikram cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Hunter has closed the distance and engaged Bikram in a clinch.

Hunter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hunter shoots for a takedown but Bikram saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bikram looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Bikram looks to score with a jab to the body but Hunter is just out of range.
Bikram throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Stewart Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Bikram counters with a nice uppercut.

Hunter misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Bikram to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bikram fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hunter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hunter ducks under a wild hook from Bikram.
Hunter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bikram appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Hunter doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bikram counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hunter throws a body kick that misses.
Hunter shoots in looking for a takedown. Bikram tries to sprawl out of it but Hunter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bikram manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bikram throws out a loose jab but Hunter uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Bikram counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Bikram takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Bikram dodges the punch combination from Hunter.
Hunter fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hunter closes the distance and clinches up with Bikram, looking for a takedown. Hunter pushes Bikram against the cage but Bikram circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hunter throws a lazy uppercut
and Bikram counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hunter on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hunter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bikram appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Bikram wants to slow Hunter down by chopping away at his legs.
Hunter misses with a body shot.
Hunter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bikram drops Hunter with a straight right hand, right on the button! Bikram follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
