The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barboza throws a nice inside leg kick.

Assid fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Barboza to the ground. Assid is now in Barboza's guard.
Assid pushes down on Barboza's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Assid is controlling the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barboza feints and then cracks Assid's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Assid down.

Assid definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Assid slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
