Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mark Corden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Just Islander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corden kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Osmani Garcia - El Taxi . Just Islander has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Islander throws a hook but Corden avoids it easily.
Corden tries to counter by clinching up but Islander breaks away and moves out of range.
Islander swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
No joy there for Corden, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Islander is trying hard to land a takedown here. Corden sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Islander shoots in but Corden avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Corden tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Islander manages to circle out of the way.

Islander closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Corden did well to prevent Islander getting side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Corden won't allow Islander to get back to his feet.
Corden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Islander swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Corden moves nicely into side control.
Islander is being controlled here.

Islander wants to control but Corden postures up.
Corden remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Islander changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Corden tries to avoid it but Islander manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Corden to the ground. Corden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Corden cracks Islander with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Islander looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Corden finish him?

Corden is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Islander can do to turn this around?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
