Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cho King Fang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mashrafe Mortaza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cho King Fang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mashrafe Mortaza!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King Fang drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
King Fang throwing strikes from guard but Mortaza blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King Fang working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Mortaza preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Mortaza looking for a sweep. Not yet Mortaza, not yet.
Mortaza is still trying to improve position.
King Fang stands up over Mortaza, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
King Fang with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
King Fang working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mortaza's head.
Mortaza bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King Fang's guard.


King Fang has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mortaza can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mortaza wants to get up but he can't break King Fang's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mortaza accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mortaza trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Mortaza throwing strikes from guard but King Fang blocks nicely.
Mortaza has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

King Fang working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mortaza doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mortaza manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mortaza slips nicely into half guard.

Mortaza works his foot free and advances to mount.

King Fang is squirming around, avoiding Mortaza's attempts to control the action.

King Fang regains half guard.
Mortaza tries to pass to full mount but King Fang defends it.

Mortaza trying to control the position but King Fang is working away.
King Fang defending against the ground and pound.

Mortaza wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by King Fang, who protects the arm well.

Mortaza in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Mortaza sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but King Fang is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
King Fang is looking to reverse the position.
Mortaza fails to land a wild elbow strike.
King Fang is not content to let Mortaza control the position.
Mortaza creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Mortaza is looking to take a break and control but King Fang is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mortaza working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King Fang tries to buck Mortaza off but Mortaza is having none of it.
King Fang manages to get back to half guard.

Mortaza passes to full mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mortaza throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
King Fang blocking the ground and pound.
King Fang is in all sorts of trouble here.
King Fang sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

King Fang actively working from the bottom here.

Mortaza is trying to work for a kimura but King Fang is defending well.
King Fang avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mortaza.
King Fang on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Mortaza is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, King Fang has managed to free his arm - good work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mortaza is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Mortaza maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! King Fang could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Mortaza has cracked it and King Fang is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Mortaza!
