Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Roberto Boucher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gerrald James!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Boucher sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Boucher scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Gerrald James has been cut.
James misses with a body shot
and Boucher counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A lazy left from Boucher finds it's target.
James looks to throw the jab but Boucher is out of range.
Boucher appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Boucher walks into a left hand.
It looks like Roberto Boucher has been cut.
Boucher lands with a good body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from James. Boucher does a little dance to reset his feet.
James keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Boucher.
A decent looking cross lands there for James.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A jab lands there for Boucher.
James connects with a nice looking jab.
Boucher looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
James looks to throw the jab but Boucher is out of range.
Gerrald James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boucher slips under a jab from James.
A telegraphed right hand from James misses the target.
James throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Boucher lands a lovely overhand right.
That has opened up Gerrald James's cut even more.
Boucher misses with a hook
and James counters with a right hand to the body.
James feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Boucher sprawling to the canvas! Boucher rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can James finish him?!
Boucher is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
James darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Boucher's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles James before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gerrald James!
Gerrald James seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
