Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Driver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ilmari Rannikko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ed Driver has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ed Driver seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Rannikko misses.
Driver takes one to the chin there.
Rannikko swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Driver.
Rannikko wants to slow Driver down by chopping away at his legs.
Driver throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rannikko.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rannikko.
Rannikko looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Rannikko tries to land a leg kick but Driver saw it coming and moves away.

Driver could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Rannikko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rannikko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rannikko throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Driver on the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
