Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Gatherer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Moonra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gatherer comes to the cage accompanied by Down In A Hole - Alice In Chains. Moonra has chosen Boombastic as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Gatherer counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Moonra throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Gatherer throws a leg kick which misses Moonra's front leg but catches the back leg as Moonra tries to avoid it.
Moonra's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gatherer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Moonra scrambles back to his feet.

Moonra has closed the distance and engaged Gatherer in a clinch.

Moonra tightens his grip and picks Gatherer up, before dumping him to the ground. Gatherer manages to land in guard.

Gatherer clobbers Moonra with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Gatherer gets tackled into the cage by Moonra. Moonra maintains the clinch.
Moonra will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Gatherer up against the cage.

Gatherer is trying to force a seperation but Moonra has the dominant position.
Moonra throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Moonra has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Gatherer after a bit of a struggle.

Moonra gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Gatherer regains guard.
Gatherer is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Moonra is looking to work some ground and pound but Gatherer has wrist control.

Gatherer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Moonra gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hunter Gatherer will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Gatherer scores with the left hand. Moonra knows he should have avoided that one.

Moonra throws a body shot but no joy.
Gatherer connects with an inside leg kick.
Moonra rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gatherer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gatherer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Gatherer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Moonra can do to turn this around?

It looks like Hunter Gatherer has been cut.

It looked like Gatherer was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Moonra.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gatherer connects with a right hand. Moonra shakes it off.

Moonra lands a big head kick that sends Gatherer tumbling to the mat! Moonra takes a step backwards and waves Gatherer back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Oh Gatherer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gatherer works Moonra's body with a nice hook.
Moonra dances in with a quick combination. Gatherer is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Moonra snaps Gatherer's head back. Gatherer stumbles backwards against the cage. Moonra steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Gatherer's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Gatherer just didn't come prepared.
