The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Nichols lands but Lodbrok takes it in his stride.
A telegraphed right hand from Lodbrok misses the target.
Nichols is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Lodbrok tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nichols was well out of range. Poor timing from Lodbrok.

Lodbrok uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Nichols has time to react.
We've been informed that Nichols has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Lodbrok lands a slapping body shot.
Good leg kick by Lodbrok there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Lodbrok has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Amstadam MMA traning center in the buildup to the fight.
