The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eirikson needs to keep his hands up - Roberts had a free shot at his head there.

It looks like Leif Eirikson has been cut.
Roberts on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Roberts lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Eirikson circles away quickly and effectively.

Roberts tries to bum rush Eirikson with a series of wild strikes but Eirikson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The crowd cheers as Roberts lands an impressive looking overhand right. Eirikson doesn't seem phased though.

It looked like Roberts was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Roberts tries to move into range but Eirikson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Eirikson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Roberts's hands.

and Eirikson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Roberts forces Eirikson back against the cage and clinches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Roberts throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

As Eirikson tries to get set, Roberts tries to push him back and clinch up but Eirikson manages to avoid the attempt.
A lazy left from Eirikson finds it's target.

and Roberts scores with a counter punch that sends Eirikson to the canvas! Roberts smells blood - he's punishing Eirikson with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Eirikson has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Djalu Roberts!
A very excited looking Djalu Roberts rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
The defeated Leif Eirikson had this to say: 'The unwise man is awake all night worries over and again. When morning rises he is restless still, his burden as before. '.
