The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Njitap throws a hook but Sloane avoids it easily.
Njitap looks to score with a jab to the body but Sloane is just out of range.
Sloane instigates a clinch.
Good body shot from Njitap.
Sloane is breathing heavily.
Njitap lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Njitap taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Njitap digs a right hand underneath Sloane's ribcage. Sloane let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Njitap lands with a short head shot on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Njitap lands a nice shot to the body.

Njitap digs a right hand into Sloane's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sloane's gas tank.

Njitap's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Geremi Njitap.
Njitap goes for a small jab and connects. Now Njitap goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Sloane stumbles back but Njitap runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Sloane to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Sloane will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
