The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hofstder throws a hook but James avoids it easily.
As Hofstder tries to get set, James tries to push him back and clinch up but Hofstder manages to avoid the attempt.
Hofstder ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Hofstder uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from James.

James has closed the distance and engaged Hofstder in a clinch.
James cracks Hofstder with a nice body shot.
Hofstder swings away with an uppercut that misses.
James definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hofstder blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hofstder has a couple of punches blocked by James.
Hofstder can't find room to land a body shot as James controls the action.

James is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Hofstder tries to work over James's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
James digs a right hand underneath Hofstder's ribcage. Hofstder let out a lung full of air as it connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dwayne James will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Wahoo Hofstder seems to be getting the better of the standup.

James throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hofstder scores with a jab. James acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
James throws a predictable looking body shot
and Hofstder counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

James lands a left and a right that send Hofstder crashing to the mat, dazed. James thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
James throws a nice looking combination but Hofstder bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

James closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Hofstder out cold! Hofstder corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

After winning the bout, Dwayne James thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
