PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Bisping (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paunov Krum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paunov Krum!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krum stuffs the takedown.
Krum throws a counter combo.

Bisping gets a clinch.

Krum pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Krum closes the distance and clinches.

Krum breaks from the clinch.
Bisping shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Krum but Krum pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Krum shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bisping pinned against the cage. Bisping gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bisping changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Krum looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Krum throws Bisping to one side and escapes!
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Krum breaks the clinch.
Krum keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Viktor Bisping. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Krum tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bisping throwing a counter right hand but Krum manages to avoid it.
Bisping tries to close the distance and clinch up but Krum swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Viktor Bisping seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Krum defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bisping.
Bisping sets himself, and Krum steps forward looking for the clinch! Bisping avoids it this time.

Krum pushes Bisping up against the cage in a clinch.

Krum pulls guard effortlessly.
Krum is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bisping wants to get back to his feet.
Krum working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Bisping is not content to let Krum control the position.
Krum takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bisping is trying to maintain the position but Krum is very close to passing his half guard.
Bisping is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Krum slows the pace down in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bisping is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Krum pulls his head out easily.

Bisping is defending against the submission attempts here by Krum.
Krum content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bisping actively working from the bottom here.
Krum is keen to just control but Bisping is a slippery customer.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Krum is controlling the pace.

Krum stands up out of the half guard.
Bisping dives in for a single leg takedown but Krum sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Krum shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Krum fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Krum rushes Bisping and presses him up against the cage.
Bisping tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paunov Krum dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Krum counters with a straight right hand.
Bisping tries to close the distance and clinch but Krum swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A slapping body kick lands there for Krum.
Bisping shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Krum pinned against the cage. Krum gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Krum shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bisping manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bisping wants to hit a switch here but Krum passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Bisping there!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bisping is desperately trying to improve his position but Krum has a good base and remains in mount.

Bisping is squirming around, avoiding Krum's attempts to control the action.
Krum is landing with some decent strikes but Bisping is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Bisping is wriggling around trying to escape.
Krum can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bisping is looking to escape.
Krum breaks from Bisping's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Bisping is looking to get to half guard.
Krum is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Krum raining down shots from the mount!

Bisping is rocked!
Bisping looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Oh Bisping is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Krum is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Bisping defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Krum is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Bisping is tapping out! This one is all over!
