Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seth Smolka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sammy Boyd told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smolka misses with a two punch combination.
Boyd lands with an uppercut that bounces Smolka off the cage and back into range.
Smolka takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Smolka sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Boyd thuds his shin into the meat of Smolka's side.

Boyd looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Smolka!
A lull in the action here as Boyd stalls from top position.
