Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boris Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raja Barat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barat has chosen Goyang Dumang as his entrance music. Raja Barat will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barat clinches.

Barat breaks from the clinch.
That kick from Brown tenderised Barat's leg. Barat is trying to keep his angry face on.
Barat tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brown swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Barat clinches up with Brown and pushes him back against the cage.
Barat has had enough of the clinch but Brown keeps him there for the moment.
Brown has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Barat avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Barat breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've been hearing reports that Brown has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Barat scores with a decent looking hook.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brown is defended easily by Barat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barat misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brown shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barat pinned against the cage. Barat gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Barat is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Brown shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barat as he avoids it easily.

Barat breaks from the clinch.
Brown tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barat sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brown somewhat.
Barat fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brown manages to avoid it.
Barat fails in his attempt to clinch.
Brown tries to counter with a takedown but Barat is quick to defend against it.
Brown dives in for a single leg takedown but Barat sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Barat is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Barat wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance.
Brown throws a big shot that misses.
Brown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barat but Barat pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Brown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barat tries to avoid it but Brown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barat to the ground. Barat escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Brown shoots for a takedown but Barat saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brown steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Barat.
Barat stuffs the takedown.
Barat throws a counter combo.
Raja Barat is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Brown closes this distance looking for a takedown but Barat circles away.
Barat has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Brown misses with a takedown
enabling Barat to counter with a crisp jab.
Brown tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Barat defends well and Brown ends up having to push Barat into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Barat just misses with a punch to the body.
Brown drops down looking for a counter takedown but Barat sprawls and moves away.
Brown takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Barat gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Brown tightens his grip and picks Barat up, before dumping him to the ground. Barat manages to land in guard.
Barat is trying to control the position but Brown postures up.

Brown trying to control but Barat is working from the bottom.
Brown with a flurry of punches that miss.

Brown thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Barat preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Brown is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Barat is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Barat has escaped and now he's on top!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barat cracks Brown with a solid left hand.

Brown pushes a forearm under Barat's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Barat is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
