Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Axl Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Nix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is You Could Be Mine. Nix has chosen Gorilla Militia by Bliss n Eso as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Nix!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nix scores with a shot to the body.
Rose throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Nix connects with a looping right hand.
Nix throws a low kick, looking for Rose's leg but Rose calmly moves out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Rose misses the target.
Nix throws an off balance right hand
and Nix takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rose stuffs the takedown attempt from Nix. Nix gets slowly back to his feet.
Rose bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rose looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Nix misses with a double jab.
Nix fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rose ducks under a wild hook from Nix.
A little feinted left hand from Rose on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Nix has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rose.
Nix throws a lazy head kick
and Nix takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rose looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nix tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Rose is able to avoid easily.
It looked like Rose wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nix waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rose.
Rose ducks under a wild hook from Nix.
Rose throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Rose throws the left hand but Nix avoids the punch easily.
Nix throws a head kick that misses
and Rose counters with a nice uppercut.
Nix connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A low kick from Nix is predictable there
and Rose counters with a right hand to the body.
Rose moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nix is rocked!
A nice leg kick lands there from Rose.
Nix is still on wobbly legs! Can Rose finish him?
Rose weaves into range and cracks Nix right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Nix goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Rose is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Axl Rose!
