Carter Jose De La Cus is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carter Jose De La Cus!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jose De La Cus takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jose De La Cus swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Teller.

Carter Jose De La Cus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jose De La Cus throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Jose De La Cus moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Teller tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jose De La Cus defends well and Teller ends up having to push Jose De La Cus into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jose De La Cus tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Jose De La Cus stalks Teller and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Teller's face. Teller staggers backwards, shaken.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Teller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jose De La Cus moves away.

We've been hearing reports that Teller has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Teller looks up at the clock and then as Jose De La Cus takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Teller smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Jose De La Cus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Teller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Teller tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Teller has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jose De La Cus is working to avoid the ground and pound but Teller connects with a decent elbow.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jose De La Cus told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Teller seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Teller scores with a big shot! Jose De La Cus's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Jose De La Cus! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fubar Teller!
Carter Jose De La Cus was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll be back, stronger and better than ever. I get one more chance to write the book, one more chance to set the hook, one more chance to turn the pages, one more chance to get it right, one more chance to write the wrongs,one more chance to feel alive, one more chance to bust some heads.'.
