Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Duff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enrique Molito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Molito has chosen Trophies as his entrance music. Enrique Molito told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Molito slips under a jab.
Duff throws a series of punches but Molito moves out of range.
Duff misses with an attempted mid kick.
Molito steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Duff.
Duff moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromMolito.
Duff scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Molito doesn't seem bothered though.
Molito looks to throw a body kick
and Duff counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Duff tries a head kick but it misses.
Duff blocks a head kick by Molito.
Duff fakes the leg kick and cracks Molito in the body.

Duff has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Molito fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Duff has a takedown stuffed.
Duff throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Duff swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Molito to counter with a crisp jab.
Molito takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Duff lands with a straight right. Molito didn't see that one coming.

and Molito counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Duff has his takedown stuffed
enabling Molito to counter with a crisp jab.
Molito moves out of range as Duff strikes.
Enrique Molito is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Duff throws the left hand but Molito avoids the punch easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Molito! But no joy.
Molito moves away from the strike by Duff.
Molito steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Duff swings for the body but Molito moves out of range.
Despite the aggression on Molito's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Molito drops his hands momentarily and Duff takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

No joy there for Duff, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Duff shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Molito counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brendan Duff. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Molito tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Duff misses with a body punch
and Molito counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Molito looks at the referee who does nothing so Molito lands a crushing right that sends Duff to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
