PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jarni Kutsoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yas Uru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kutsoo comes to the ring accompanied by Enter Sandman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jarni Kutsoo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yas Uru!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kutsoo takes one to the chin there.
Kutsoo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Uru misses with a wild body shot.
Uru bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Uru leaves Kutsoo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kutsoo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Uru cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kutsoo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kutsoo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Uru defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarni Kutsoo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kutsoo tries to move into range but Uru moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kutsoo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Uru circles away.
Kutsoo on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Uru lands a really nice looking cross but Kutsoo seems unphased.
Kutsoo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Uru.
Uru thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kutsoo if he has to take too many more of those.
Uru connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kutsoo. Kutsoo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A jab from Uru does it's job there.
Uru misses with a combination

and Kutsoo counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Kutsoo lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kutsoo works over Uru with some ground and pound from guard.
Uru wants to stand and escape but Kutsoo is having none of it.
Kutsoo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Uru is looking to stand up but Kutsoo isn't so interested in that idea.
Kutsoo throws a strike but Uru rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kutsoo has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Uru doesn't defend quickly enough and Kutsoo has managed to lock this one up! Can Uru escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kutsoo on a fantastic submission victory.
