Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tantalus Flay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Gregorovitsj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flay's entrance music is Outerspace- Revolution. A fine choice. Gregorovitsj has chosen Pink Panther Theme as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tantalus Flay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boris Gregorovitsj!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregorovitsj throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Gregorovitsj takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gregorovitsj staying out of range there.
Flay connects with a body shot.

Gregorovitsj instigates a clinch.
Flay takes an elbow to the temple.
Flay tries to work over Gregorovitsj's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Flay doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Gregorovitsj lands a left hand that snaps the head of Flay backwards.

Flay breaks from the clinch.
Flay lands a nice hook to Gregorovitsj's body. Gregorovitsj takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gregorovitsj lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Gregorovitsj needs to keep his hands up - Flay had a free shot at his head there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Flay throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gregorovitsj on the side of the head.


It looks like Boris Gregorovitsj has been cut.
Gregorovitsj's coach down at THC playhouse was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gregorovitsj's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Nice uppercut there from Flay.
A cross from Flay lands.
Gregorovitsj misses with a kick to the body.
Gregorovitsj on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Flay lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Flay missing with a left hand there. Gregorovitsj was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A big left from Flay misses.
Tantalus Flay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gregorovitsj throws a nice outside leg kick.

Gregorovitsj closes the distance and clinches.
Flay misses with a knee strike.
Flay misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Flay is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Gregorovitsj can't fight it off and eventually Flay manages to take the fight to the floor. Gregorovitsj looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Gregorovitsj lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Flay has control of Gregorovitsj's left arm, preventing Gregorovitsj from doing any damage.

Gregorovitsj is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Flay working a defensive guard but Gregorovitsj manages to pass into side control anyway.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Flay is trying to control Gregorovitsj's posture but Gregorovitsj avoids it.
Flay is looking for a sweep.
Flay being controlled for a moment.
Flay is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Gregorovitsj takes a little break here. Flay wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Flay is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Flay looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Flay wants to control but Gregorovitsj is keeping busy.
Gregorovitsj stalling.
Gregorovitsj tries to pass to full mount but Flay defends it.
Gregorovitsj with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Flay is looking to improve his position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Flay fails to land with a series of punches.
Gregorovitsj wants to counter with a clinch but Flay pushes him away.
Flay is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Gregorovitsj wants to clinch.
Flay half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Gregorovitsj checks a leg kick.
Flay moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Flay throws a lazy right hand but Gregorovitsj sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A right-left combo lands from Flay.
Flay looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Gregorovitsj throws a leg kick but Flay moved away.
Gregorovitsj misses with a body kick.
Gregorovitsj throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Some wild striking there from Flay.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
A slapping leg kick lands for Gregorovitsj.
Gregorovitsj throws a push kick but Flay slaps the foot to one side.
Flay throws a leg kick that misses.

Flay feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Flay seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Flay passes into half guard.

Flay not doing much here.
Flay lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Gregorovitsj slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Gregorovitsj is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Flay postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Flay trying to control but Gregorovitsj is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Flay accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gregorovitsj keeping moving, preventing Flay from controlling successfully.
Gregorovitsj trying to keep a closed guard but Flay is proving a slippery customer.
Flay trying to control the position from guard on top but Gregorovitsj is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Flay connects with a couple of short punches.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.
Gregorovitsj looking to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Flay throws the left hand but Gregorovitsj avoids the punch easily.
Flay misses with a hook
and Gregorovitsj counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Gregorovitsj drops his hands momentarily and Flay takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Flay misses with a looping left.
Gregorovitsj slips under a jab.
Flay throws a hook to the side of Gregorovitsj's head but Gregorovitsj sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Flay ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Flay shoots in for a double leg but Gregorovitsj sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gregorovitsj on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Gregorovitsj has managed to clinch.
Gregorovitsj scores with a nice hook to the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tantalus Flay showed his dominance in that final round.
