Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Milat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lopez comes into the arena with Apeman blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alberto Lopez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Ivan Milat!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milat tries to clinch up.
A little feinted left hand from Lopez on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Milat throws a low kick, looking for Lopez's leg but Lopez calmly moves out of range.
Lopez was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Lopez lands a high kick to the side of Milat's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Lopez dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Ivan Milat has been cut.

Milat is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

We've been told by Lopez's head coaches at Elite Strikers that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Milat fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lopez.

Lopez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Milat connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lopez scrambles back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A head kick lands from Lopez that sends Milat to the canvas. Milat tries to scramble back to his feet but Lopez brings him back down into side control.
Lopez cracks Milat with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Lopez immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Milat is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Lopez!
