The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Diaz is rocked!
Tomson has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Diaz seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Tomson can turn it around.
Diaz is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tomson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Tomson cracks Diaz with an open hand slap.
Neal Diaz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Good leg kick by Tomson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Tomson drops Diaz with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Diaz looks back up at him and smiles so Tomson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Diaz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tomson fakes the leg kick and cracks Diaz in the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Diaz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Tomson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Diaz sprawling to the canvas! Diaz rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tomson finish him?!
Diaz closes the distance but Tomson moves to the side
and Tomson counters with a crisp right that sends Diaz to the canvas! Tomson follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karom Tomson!
Karom Tomson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
