The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Dempsey. Beautiful body shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Dempsey darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Good exchange - Dempsey coming out on top.
It looks like Santo Fitzgerald has been cut.
Fitzgerald takes one on the button.
Dempsey throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fitzgerald sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Fitzgerald appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Fitzgerald gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Dempsey gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
