Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wedge Xiii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sutter Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 23 - 4, fighting out of Hilo, Wedge Xiii!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sutter Cane!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot by Cane.
Cane lands a leg kick that knocks Xiii off balance momentarily.
Xiii cracks Cane with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Xiii has taken the fight to the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Xiii fails to land.
Xiii scores with a shoulder strike.
Xiii wants a takedown.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Cane.
Cane is pressed up against the cage. Xiii has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cane down to the mat. Cane avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Xiii checks a leg kick nicely.
Cane tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Xiii is able to avoid easily.

Xiii darts in and clinches Cane up against the cage.
Xiii lands a body punch in the clinch.
Xiii has a couple of punches blocked by Cane.
Cane stalling in the clinch.
Xiii's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Xiii is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Cane gets underhooks to prevent Xiii's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wedge Xiii. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Xiii wants to stall.
Come on Cane - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Cane receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Xiii creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Xiii tries for a takedown but Cane manages to get underhooks.
Xiii is working for takedown but Cane is calmly controlling the position for now.
Cane lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Xiii lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Cane can't find room to land a body shot as Xiii controls the action.
Xiii throws a punch but it's blocked by Cane.
Xiii misses with some punches.

The referee is keeping an eye on Cane - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Cane gets through Xiii's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Cane lands with a left to the head.
Xiii goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Cane digs a right hand into Xiii's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Xiii's gas tank.
Cane has a couple of punches blocked by Xiii.
Cane misses with some punches.

Cane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fight stays on the outside here - Xiii looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cane throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Cane throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Cane lands a big head kick that sends Xiii tumbling to the mat! Cane takes a step backwards and waves Xiii back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Xiii is rocked!
Cane misses with a few strikes there.
Cane swings for the body but Xiii moves out of range.
Xiii scores with a jab to the jaw.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cane cracks Xiii's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Xiii slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Cane can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sutter Cane!
