The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asai walks into a stiff left hand from Mouba.
A combination from Mouba does no damage.
Asai swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Asai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mouba punishes Asai 's body with a nice straight punch.
Asai slips a straight right by Mouba.
Asai displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mouba throws out the jab.
Asai dips to his left and cracks Mouba with an uppercut!
Asai throws a poor cross that misses
and Mouba counters with a nice uppercut.
Asai throws a jab but it's blocked by Mouba.
Asai buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mouba misses with a lunging right hand
and Asai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Abdou Mouba has been cut.

Asai moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Asai takes one to the side of the head.
Mouba avoids the head kick by Asai .

Asai fails to land with a series of punches.
Asai scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Asai misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Asai takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mouba connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Asai went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Asai .
Mouba bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Asai 's head backwards.
Mouba is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Asai had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Mouba misses with a left hand
and Asai counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mouba's knee momentarily.
Asai tries to move into range but Mouba moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Mouba is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
A jab from Mouba misses.
Mouba scores with a nice head shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mouba throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Asai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mouba connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Asai 's hands.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Asai fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mouba.
Mouba finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Asai ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Asai misses the target.
Mouba has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Mouba misses with a shot to the body
and Asai counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Mouba tries to move into range but Asai moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A low kick from Mouba is predictable there
and Asai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Asai lands with a thumping leg kick.
Asai needs to keep his hands up - Mouba had a free shot at his head there.
Mouba uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Asai .

Mouba paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Mouba swings widly with a right hand
and Asai counters with a stiff right hand.

Asai lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Mouba goes down and covers up as Asai starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
