Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 17 - 1, fighting out of New York, Austin Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 44 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gordon Lefleaur!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams drives through with a takedown into Lefleaur's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

We've been hearing good reports from Williams's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Lefleaur looking to pass the guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Williams trying to keep a closed guard but Lefleaur is proving a slippery customer.

Williams is looking for a kimura but Lefleaur is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Williams to get the leverage.

Lefleaur is rocked!

Williams is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Lefleaur still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Lefleaur has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Lefleaur is still in real trouble! Can Williams finish him?
Williams tries to buck Lefleaur off but Lefleaur is having none of it.
Lefleaur seems to have recovered his senses.
Williams sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

The ground and pound from Lefleaur seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Williams manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Williams is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Williams is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lefleaur doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Williams.
Lefleaur is staying active underneath Williams, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Austin Williams dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Williams blocks a jab.
Williams doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The fighters circling - Lefleaur throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lefleaur takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Williams throws a body kick that misses.
Lefleaur tries a head kick but it misses.
Lefleaur cracks Williams with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Lefleaur doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Lefleaur gets caught flat footed, as Williams shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Williams throws a big elbow that misses.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lefleaur is on top in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Williams pulls Lefleaur in close to prevent any damage.

Williams escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lefleaur gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Williams looking for a guillotine here but Lefleaur defends easily.
Lefleaur throws an elbow that misses. Williams uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lefleaur's guard. Nice move by Williams!

Williams throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lefleaur works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Williams scoring with some ground and pound.
Williams lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Lefleaur has momentary wrist control but Williams slips an elbow through the middle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lefleaur looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there.
Williams postures up and lands a big shot to Lefleaur's brow.

Williams makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Williams is looking to work some ground and pound but Lefleaur has wrist control.
Williams gets to his feet and stands over Lefleaur, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Lefleaur felt that one! Williams unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Lefleaur from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Austin Williams!
An out of breath Austin Williams thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
