Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregers Westerberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Slade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Westerberg comes into the arena with Maitre Gims - J'me Tire blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slade moves out of range as Westerberg strikes.
Westerberg throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Slade counters with a nice body shot.
Slade cracks Westerberg with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Westerberg throws a right hand that Slade ducks under and follows up with a left that Slade also avoids with ease.
Slade tries a quick counter leg kick but Westerberg is wise to it.
Westerberg moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Tyrone Slade has been cut.
Slade throws a combination that misses
enabling Westerberg to counter with a crisp jab.
Westerberg shoots in for a double leg but Slade sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Westerberg tries to clinch but Slade moves out of range.
Westerberg misses with a series of wild punches.
Slade lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Gregers Westerberg has been cut.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Slade has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Westerberg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Slade sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Westerberg somewhat.

Westerberg darts in looking for a takedown but Slade gets double underhooks and turns Westerberg into the cage.

Westerberg had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Slade defends it easily.
Slade must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Westerberg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Westerberg is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Slade has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Westerberg is on him like a limpet, forcing Slade back against the cage.

Slade tries to close the distance and clinch up but Westerberg swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Westerberg swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Slade checks the leg kick.

and Slade counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Slade gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Westerberg.
Westerberg throws an overhand right that lands on Slade's shoulder, as Slade tries to avoid the shot.
Westerberg misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Slade throws out a counter right but Westerberg avoids it with no problem.

Westerberg jabs Slade to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A right-left combo lands from Westerberg.
Slade slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Slade lunges at Westerberg with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Westerberg's hand.

Westerberg has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
