Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lavern Koch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burner Second (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Lavern Koch has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lavern Koch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Burner Second!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koch is looking to chop away at Second's legs.
Second thinks about the counter body kick.

Second closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Koch quickly recovers to half guard.
Koch is looking to escape.
Second wants to stand up but Koch has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Koch trying to control here.
Koch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Second on the ground.
Koch keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Second missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Koch tries to kick Second off but Second keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Second thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Koch's head.
Second controlling the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koch manages to get to full guard.

Second trying to move into half guard but instead Koch has managed to sweep!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Second is on top in guard.

Koch wants to get back to full guard.
Koch trying to control but Second postures up.
Koch is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Second sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Second is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Koch sees it coming and defends easily.

Second seems to be looking for submissions.
Second thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Second not doing much here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Koch trying to control here.
Second is pressing down on Koch's thigh, looking to free his foot. Koch is holding on for now.
Koch pushes Second off looking to stand but Second dives back in and keeps control.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Second in particular looking to stall.
Koch is trying to maintain the position but Second is very close to passing his half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Second sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Koch defending well though.
Koch keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Second trying to control the action but Koch is working from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Second shoots in for a takedown but Koch shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Second just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromKoch.

Second fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Koch, pushing him back against the cage.
Second is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Koch taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Koch really is a fat lump.
Second prevents Koch from breaking the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Burner Second dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Koch shoots in and drives through. Second sprawls well.

Second scores with a takedown into Koch's guard.
Koch is wriggling around but Second manages to pass to half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Second in particular looking to stall.

Second works his way into full mount!
Burner Second has got the better of the ground game so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Second is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Second extends the arm and Koch is forced to tap!
