Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Benjamin Murdoch and Maurice Vachon. Vachon has chosen Mad Dog Tribute as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Maurice Vachon!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

My spies in Academy of Martial Arts inform me that Vachon has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

It looks like Vachon might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Vachon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murdoch swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Murdoch is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vachon is just riding it out for now. Murdoch eventually gives up the hold.

Vachon is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Murdoch has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Vachon slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Murdoch wants to control his opponent's hands but Vachon gets his hands free.

Murdoch is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Vachon gets his way!

Vachon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
