Masakazu comes to the cage accompanied by Roken / DEEP MACS HEADBANGERS. Alabama has chosen Sweet Home Alabama as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuki Masakazu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Huell Alabama!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alabama gets a double leg takedown into Masakazu's guard.

Masakazu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alabama can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Masakazu is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Alabama distracts Masakazu with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Masakazu really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alabama accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Masakazu looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Alabama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Masakazu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Masakazu looking for a guillotine here but Alabama defends easily.

Masakazu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Masakazu will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Masakazu is looking to regain half guard here but Alabama keeps moving and retains side control.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Huell Alabama!
Huell Alabama decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Yuki Masakazu was interviewed post fight and said 'He got lucky! I'll be back!'.
