Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Simons III (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaivo Huone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huone comes into a darkened arena with his song building. RMB - Spring kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huone lands with a shot to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Simons III looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Huone looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
A decent looking cross lands there for Huone.

Huone uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Simons III has time to react.
Huone connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Simons III momentarily.

Simons III shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Simons III is trying to pull guard but Huone has him pressed against the cage.

Huone connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Huone lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Simons III tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Huone is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Simons III had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

We've been hearing reports that Simons III has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Simons III takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Simons III has Huone pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Huone manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Simons III tries to stall but Huone uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Simons III tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Huone just stands there and leans against the cage.

Simons III is breathing heavily.
Simons III jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Huone walks away with a smile on his face. Simons III gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Simons III's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Huone connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Simons III scrambles back to his feet.
Huone tests Simons III's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Huone has managed to clinch.
Huone will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Simons III up against the cage.
Huone misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Huone throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Simons III is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Huone pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Simons III pushes off an throws an elbow but Huone leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Huone lands a hook to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Simons III has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Huone is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Huone unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Simons III! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Huone is unloading with more strikes now! Simons III drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
