Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mon Vin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takanoyama Shuntaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mon Vin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mon Vin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takanoyama Shuntaro!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A low kick from Shuntaro misses
so Vin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Vin advances to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Shuntaro is trying to stand.

Vin decides to stand and escape the position.
Shuntaro misses with a double jab
and Vin counters with a takedown into side control.
Shuntaro is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vin stands up and beckons Shuntaro to his feet.
Shuntaro is still on wobbly legs! Can Vin finish him?
Shuntaro throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Shuntaro seems to have recovered his senses.
Shuntaro throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shuntaro's guard.
Vin advances position into side control!
Vin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Vin passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Shuntaro!

Vin stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

and Vin counters by moving into the clinch.
Shuntaro is trying to push Vin away but Vin has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Vin gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Vin stands and steps away. Shuntaro gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Vin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Vin advances to full mount.
Vin is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shuntaro throws a left and a right that both miss
and Vin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Shuntaro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vin gets to his feet. Shuntaro looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Takanoyama Shuntaro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shuntaro looks winded!
Shuntaro scoring well with a low kick there.
Shuntaro throws a lazy body kick
so Vin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Vin wants to control from the top but Shuntaro keeps moving.
Vin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Vin is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Shuntaro looks calm but he's in trouble here. Vin gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Shuntaro is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Vin lets go of the hold and Shuntaro can pop his arm back in it's socket.
