The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kosa fails to land the takedown.

Mashyeel fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kosa to the ground. Mashyeel is now in Kosa's guard.

Mashyeel is taking a breather. Kosa says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mashyeel perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Kosa wants to get back to full guard but Mashyeel has passed into side control.
Mashyeel wants to stand but Kosa is controlling his arm.

Kosa is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mashyeel is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mashyeel has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Mashyeel lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Kosa is rocked!

Kosa is trying to defend against the choke here but Mashyeel has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Mashyeel Tightens the hold and Kosa taps out furiously! Mashyeel displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
