PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Naya Shinoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marlo Stanfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinoki comes to the ring accompanied by wadiako. Stanfield has chosen Up Down as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marlo Stanfield!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanfield throws a jab but it's blocked by Shinoki .
A right-left combo lands from Stanfield.
Stanfield waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shinoki .
Marlo Stanfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shinoki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stanfield throws a big shot that misses.
Shinoki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stanfield lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stanfield misses with a double jab.
Shinoki drops down looking for a counter takedown but Stanfield sprawls and moves away.
Shinoki uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stanfield.
Shinoki tries to clinch there but Stanfield circles away.
A countering left hand to the body from Stanfield misses.

Stanfield stalks Shinoki and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shinoki 's face. Shinoki staggers backwards, shaken.
Stanfield throws a hook but Shinoki avoids it easily.
Stanfield swinging wildly here.
Shinoki takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stanfield. Shinoki does a little dance to reset his feet.
Stanfield throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shinoki .
Shinoki uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stanfield.

Shinoki shoots in for a takedown but Stanfield shows good takedown defense.
Shinoki avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shinoki tries to counter with a takedown but Stanfield is quick to defend against it.
Stanfield dips to his left and cracks Shinoki with an uppercut!
Shinoki throws a head kick but Stanfield moves out of range.
Stanfield throws out a counter right but Shinoki avoids it with no problem.
Shinoki misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shinoki swings for the body but Stanfield moves out of range.

Stanfield feints with a jab and clips Shinoki right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Shinoki is sent crashing into the canvas and Stanfield leaps in for the kill! Shinoki tries to get to his feet but Stanfield is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Shinoki is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marlo Stanfield!
Marlo Stanfield bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
Naya Shinoki was interviewed post fight and said ' Didn't go my way I will come back stronger Congrats to my opponent an best of luck in the future thanks you all for the support'.
