Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Henrik Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mil Yen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mil Yen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Henrik Hansen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Henrik Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mil Yen!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen misses with a few strikes there.
Hansen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Yen dives in and grabs Hansen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hansen pushes down on Yen's head and hops out.
Hansen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Yen counters with a two punch combo.
Yen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hansen throws a big counter combination but Yen scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Yen throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hansen throws a wild body kick that Yen sees coming a mile off.
Horrible takedown attempt by Yen or perhaps it was just good defense by Hansen, which made it look bad.
As Yen looks to move away, Hansen throws a big counter combo but Yen just gets out of the way.
Henrik Hansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mil Yen.
Yen shoots for a double leg takedown but Hansen sprawls well. He's pushed Yen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Yen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Yen gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Yen missing with knees to the body.
A short uppercut from Hansen.
Hansen prevents Yen from breaking the clinch.

Hansen is pressed up against the cage. Yen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hansen down to the mat. Hansen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Henrik Hansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hansen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Yen drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hansen defends it well.
Yen explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Hansen throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Hansen throws a combination that misses
and Yen counters with a left and a right that stings Hansen.
Hansen is breathing heavily.
Hansen misses with a lunging right hand
and Yen counters with a right hand to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hansen. Yen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Yen wants to clinch.
Yen closes the distance and clinches up with Hansen, looking for a takedown. Yen pushes Hansen against the cage but Hansen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hansen throws a big counter combination but Yen scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Yen tries to clinch there but Hansen circles away.

Yen clinches.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Yen.

Yen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Yen tries to break the clinch but Hansen is controlling the position.
Yen wants a takedown but no success here.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hansen misses with a hook from the clinch.
Yen wants to break the clinch but can't.
Yen stalling the fight.
Yen manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Yen tries to break free but Hansen pushes him back against the cage.

Yen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hansen pulls his leg out and moves away.
Hansen throws a one two combo.
Yen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hansen sets himself, and Yen steps forward looking for the clinch! Hansen avoids it this time.
Yen fails with the takedown.
Yen blocks a head kick by Hansen.

Yen manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hansen on his heels. He'll look to pass Hansen's guard now, I'm sure.
Yen is stalling in the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yen is looking to work some ground and pound but Hansen has wrist control.
Yen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Henrik Hansen will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Yen shoots in for a double leg but Hansen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Yen tries for a takedown but Hansen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Yen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hansen.
Hansen misses with a few strikes there.
Yen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hansen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Yen lands a head kick!
Yen moves out of range of the body kick from Hansen.
Hansen swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Yen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Yen.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Yen takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Yen is trying to force a seperation but Hansen has the dominant position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yen avoiding damage.
Yen tries to land knees in the clinch but Hansen avoids the damage to the body.

Yen wants a takedown.
Henrik Hansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mil Yen.
Yen lands a nice shot to the body.
Yen jumps guard but Hansen stands there with Yen around his waist. Yen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hansen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Yen dodges the punch combination from Hansen.
Henrik Hansen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Yen scores with a head kick.
A head kick by Hansen misses
and Yen counters with a one-two to the body.
Yen scoring well with a low kick there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Yen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Yen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hansen, pushing him back against the cage.

Yen has a couple of punches blocked by Hansen.

Yen breaks the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Yen moves out of range as Hansen throws a body kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Yen.

Yen closes the distance and pushes Hansen back into the cage.
Yen dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Yen misses with some punches.
Yen is trying to break the clinch but Hansen is controlling him.
Yen tries to pull guard but Hansen forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Yen manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Hansen won't allow Yen to get back to his feet.
Yen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Yen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Yen throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Yen pulls Hansen in to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Yen has a closed guard, preventing Hansen from standing up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mil Yen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!



Hansen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Yen sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Yen postures up in Hansen's guard and throws a big left but Hansen blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Yen prevents Hansen from getting back to his feet.
Yen tries to stand but Hansen is controlling from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Yen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hansen misses with a jab to the body
and Yen counters with a one-two to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hansen is pressed up against the cage. Yen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hansen down to the mat. Hansen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Yen slips a jab and a cross from Hansen.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Yen, right into the meat.

Yen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Yen showed some decent athleticism there.
Yen stalling.
Yen works his way into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Yen taking a breather here.
Yen misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Hansen is letting Yen control him for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Yen is chipping away with strikes.
Yen takes a little break here. Hansen wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Yen cracks Hansen with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Yen misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mil Yen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Yen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
