Haakonsson shoots and misses

and Finnila decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Haakonsson's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Haakonsson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Finnila can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Finnila is looking to advance position but Haakonsson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

My spies in DiscoClub inform me that Haakonsson has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Finnila is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Haakonsson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Haakonsson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Finnila has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Finnila!

Haakonsson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Finnila rolls with it to try and escape but Haakonsson cranks on the arm and Finnila is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
