Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Gennero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ravi Shankoli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gennero might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wally's Pep Talk. Shankoli is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ravi Shankar - Om Shiva. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shankoli moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Gennero throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shankoli sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Despite the aggression on Shankoli's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Gennero swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gennero throws a shot from downtown. Shankoli moves away and avoids it.
Gennero connects with a nice looking jab.
Shankoli misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gennero thows a left - swing and a miss!
Shankoli flicks out a counter leg kick but Gennero steps away.
Shankoli keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
It seemed like Shankoli was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Oooooh!!! Shankoli has knocked Gennero down with a huge combo! Shankoli steps away and waves a wobbly Gennero back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Ed Gennero has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gennero lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Gennero lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Gennero motions for Shankoli to come forward. Gennero throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Gennero missing with a left hand there. Shankoli was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Gennero lands with a hook. Shankoli tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Gennero looks to throw the jab but Shankoli is out of range.
Gennero finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Shankoli's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Gennero falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
