Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Gravano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glossu Rabban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glossu Rabban has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sammy Gravano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Glossu Rabban!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gravano digs a good hook to Rabban's body.

and Rabban counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gravano won't be happy with that.

Rabban is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gravano has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gravano is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Red Tri-Angle - 12 ELITE COACHES that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Rabban is trying to control the action in half guard but Gravano is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Rabban seems to be looking for submissions.

Rabban working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gravano doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gravano manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gravano is working Rabban over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Gravano wants to control from the top but Rabban keeps moving.

Rabban tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Gravano has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Rabban wants to hold on but Gravano pushes him away.
Rabban sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Gravano wants to take a breather but Rabban is having none of it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gravano connects with a nice short shot to Rabban's temple.

Rabban is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gravano scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rabban has hold of Gravano's hands but Gravano slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gravano lands with a punch from half guard.

Rabban is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gravano pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Gravano throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gravano ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rabban moves away.
Gravano throws out a powerful jab.
Gravano shoots in for a takedown but Rabban shows good takedown defense.
Rabban tries to counter by closing the distance.
Gravano stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.


It looks like Glossu Rabban has been cut.
Rabban walks into a jab.
Gravano looks to throw the jab but Rabban is out of range.
And Rabban tries to counter it with a takedown but Gravano pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Glossu Rabban is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rabban stuffs the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Rabban throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Gravano to regain full guard.
Rabban prevents Gravano from getting back to his feet.

Rabban drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gravano dives on top into guard.

Sammy Gravano overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rabban has his feet on Gravano's thighs here. He's pushed Gravano off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Gravano screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Glossu Rabban!
A victorious Glossu Rabban thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
Sammy Gravano was interviewed post fight and said 'You long haired prick!!!! Im gonna wait outside the arena and smash you and your birds heads in!!'.
