The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdoul on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Abdoul darts in looking for a takedown but Taro gets double underhooks and turns Abdoul into the cage.
Abdoul misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Taro ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Abdoul misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Taro appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Taro stuns Abdoul with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Abdoul doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Taro connects with a good right hand that stumbles Abdoul. Abdoul circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Yannick Abdoul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Taro throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Abdoul stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Taro lands a head shot.

Taro scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Abdoul walks into a stiff left hand from Taro.
Taro seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Taro works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Abdoul is still on wobbly legs! Can Taro finish him?
Abdoul needs to keep his hands up - Taro had a free shot at his head there.

Taro scores with a jab. Abdoul acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Abdoul gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Taro gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matsuda Taro!
Matsuda Taro spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
