Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maui Built (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Whitehorse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maui Built!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jacob Whitehorse!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Built misses with a body kick.
Built lands a right hook to the body.
Nice defenses there by Built.
Built has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Whitehorse misses with a jab to the body
and Built counters with a stiff right hand.
Whitehorse throws a lazy right hand but Built sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Built lands a nice looking body kick.
Whitehorse takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Built digs a good hook to Whitehorse's body.

Built fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Whitehorse manages to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Whitehorse throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Built tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Whitehorse is in Built's guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Whitehorse postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Built controls Whitehorse momentarily but Whitehorse frees himself.
Whitehorse throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Built works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Built trying to keep a closed guard but Whitehorse is proving a slippery customer.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

That was a close round but I would say that Maui Built will probably get the nod.

Built is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Whitehorse can do to turn this around?

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Whitehorse does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Built on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
