Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brett Bolton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Archie Wappner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wappner is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bolton's half guard.

Bolton kicks off Wappner and gets to his feet.
Bolton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bolton enables Wappner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bolton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Wappner is trying to stick to Bolton's back but Bolton is turning into Wappner. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wappner's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bolton.

Bolton has gone for a leg lock! Wappner slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bolton's guard.

Bolton postures up in Wappner's guard and throws a big left but Wappner blocks it.
Bolton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bolton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wappner won't allow Bolton to get back to his feet.

Wappner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bolton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wappner as he jumps to the side.

Bolton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Despite the aggression on Wappner's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Wappner gets caught napping as Bolton dives in and scores a takedown. Wappner manages to retain guard.

Wappner manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Brett Bolton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wappner fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Bolton shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wappner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wappner wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Bolton manages to pass to side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wappner pushes Bolton off and gets back to his feet.
Wappner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wappner is wriggling around trying to escape but Bolton has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Wappner taps out and Bolton picks up the big win! Great work there by Bolton!
