The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Smith looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Smith connects with a single shot there.
Jay tries to bum rush Smith with a series of wild strikes but Smith uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jay moves away.
Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jay.
Smith lands with a nice body punch.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Smith stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jay was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith.
An attempted straight right counter from Jay misses the target.
Smith looks to throw the jab but Jay is out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jay takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Smith looks to land a left hand but Jay moved out of range nicely.
Jay walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Jay is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
