Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russell Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kabal Labak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Russell Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kabal Labak!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Labak scores with a jab.

Labak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bell walks into a straight right hand from Labak.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bell lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Labak has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Labak and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Bell takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bell connects with a good right hand that stumbles Labak. Labak circles away out of range and recomposes himself.


It looks like Kabal Labak has been cut.
Labak uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bell.
Labak appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Labak misses with the combination.
It looked like Bell was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Labak punishes Bell's body with a nice straight punch.

Labak cracks Bell with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kabal Labak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Labak lands with a hook. Bell tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Labak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bell moves away.
Labak works Bell's body with a nice hook.
Labak scores with a leg kick.
Labak misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bell.
Labak connects with a nice looking jab.
A slow jab from Labak misses its intended target.

The referee is keeping an eye on Labak - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Bell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Labak wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bell is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Labak throws a punch but it's blocked by Bell.

Labak lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bell backwards.
Bell slowing the pace effectively.
Bell dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Bell gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Labak blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Bell tries to break the clinch but Labak is controlling the position.

Bell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Labak darts in looking for a takedown but Bell gets double underhooks and turns Labak into the cage.
Bell has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Labak.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bell enables Labak to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bell manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Labak wants to control from the top but Bell keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kabal Labak dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Labak throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Bell throws the left hand but Labak avoids the punch easily.
Kabal Labak seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Labak throws a front kick aimed at Bell's knee but Bell avoids it well.
Bell is looking to counter with a body kick.

Labak looks for a takedown but Bell sprawls well.
Labak looks to score with a jab to the body but Bell is just out of range.

Labak is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bell.

and Bell counters with a good, hard body kick but Labak shrugs it off.
Bell takes a swing at Labak's ribcage but misses.
Crunch! Labak slams his shin into Bell's torso.
Labak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bell paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Labak. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Labak throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Labak fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bell avoids it really well and circles away.

Bell misses with a low kick as Labak jumps back.
Labak walks into a straight right hand from Bell.
Labak cracks a nice hook into Bell's ribs.
Labak fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bell.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Labak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kabal Labak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Labak looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bell with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kabal Labak is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Bell is refusing to be controlled, as Labak sits in half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Russell Bell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bell throws a leg kick which misses Labak's front leg but catches the back leg as Labak tries to avoid it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The crowd cheers as Labak lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bell doesn't seem phased though.
Bell takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Labak ducks under a wild hook from Bell.
Labak dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bell. That did some damage!
Labak lands a right hook to the body.
Labak misses the jab.
Bell steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Labak.

Labak has Bell up against the cage in a clinch.
Bell misses with a shot to the kidneys.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bell tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bell tries to throw a body punch but Labak avoids it by throwing Bell back against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kabal Labak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Labak has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
