PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roman Aguilar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucien Simoneau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simoneau has chosen Dérangeant - Groovy Aardvark as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Roman Aguilar has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Simoneau closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Aguilar looks like he's trying to stand up.
Aguilar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Aguilar tries to roll over but Simoneau keeps him under control.
Simoneau tries to pass the half guard into mount. Aguilar knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Simoneau working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Simoneau winds up and cracks Aguilar with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Aguilar is rocked!

Simoneau wants to work for an arm triangle but Aguilar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Oh Aguilar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Simoneau lands a big elbow - Aguilar is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Simoneau!
