The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Hop Sing Jung has been cut.
Vermeer connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jung momentarily.
Jung seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Vermeer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jung moves away.
Jung attempts a counter takedown but Vermeer avoids it well and moves away.
Alexander Vermeer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vermeer closes the distance and pushes Jung back into the cage.

Vermeer lands a left hand.
Jung is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Vermeer pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Jung has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Vermeer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jung takes a shot to the head.
Vermeer works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Jung has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Vermeer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hop Sing Jung. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jung has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Vermeer after a bit of a struggle.
Vermeer gets through Jung's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Vermeer lands a shot to the body.
Jung takes a shot to the head.
Vermeer lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jung backwards.
Vermeer gets through Jung's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Jung is trying to drag Vermeer to the mat but Vermeer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Vermeer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Nice straight punches there by Vermeer. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Vermeer.

Jung is rocked!
Jung throws a lazy uppercut
and Vermeer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Vermeer throws a hook but Jung avoids it easily.
Vermeer lands with a shot to the body.

Vermeer moves into range and clinches up with Jung.
Vermeer lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Jung tries to pull guard but Vermeer won't allow it.
Jung has Vermeer pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Vermeer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Vermeer looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Vermeer.
Oh Jung is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vermeer lands a body shot in the clinch.
Jung is breathing heavily.

Vermeer drops Jung onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Jung is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vermeer lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Jung to his knees! Vermeer keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
