Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hal Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Cormier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hal Boyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Cormier!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cormier closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Boyle avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cormier.
Boyle is trying to stand up here but Cormier is controlling him well.

Boyle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cormier wants to pass to mount but Boyle is defending the position.

Cormier decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Boyle on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Boyle closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Boyle stands up and beckons Cormier to his feet.
Boyle shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cormier sprawls well. Cormier wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boyle gets slowly back to his feet.
Cormier tries to bum rush Boyle with a series of wild strikes but Boyle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Boyle seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Boyle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Cormier has his hands on Boyle's head, controlling the position.

Boyle gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Boyle tries to circle away but Cormier has him pinned against the cage.

Boyle pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Boyle doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Cormier has picked Boyle up - he's going for a ride! Cormier dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Cormier is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Boyle sees it coming and defends easily.

Boyle is looking to improve his position.
Boyle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cormier is working away from the top position though.
Boyle is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Cormier is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

A close second round but Daniel Cormier will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Cormier has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Boyle clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Boyle shoots in looking for a takedown. Cormier tries to sprawl out of it but Boyle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cormier manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Boyle tries to keep at a distance but Cormier has taken the fight into the clinch.

Cormier dives in and scores a takedown into Boyle's guard.
Boyle is looking to stand back up but Cormier counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Boyle.

Boyle is looking to control Cormier's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Boyle avoid being mounted?
Cormier wants to take a breather but Boyle is having none of it.
Cormier tries to stand and escape but Boyle is controlling the position.

Cormier decides to stand up.
Cormier fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boyle tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Cormier manages to circle out of the way.

Boyle gets tackled into the cage by Cormier. Cormier maintains the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Cormier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
