Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Truck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Francis DeMontford.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Truck throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Watson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Truck is in Watson's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Truck drops back, looking for a kneebar! Watson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Watson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Watson!

Truck manages to work his way to half guard, despite Watson's best efforts.
Truck is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Truck wants to control but Watson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Truck tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Truck has picked Watson up - he's going for a ride! Truck dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Truck remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Truck shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Truck dives in for a single leg takedown but Watson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Ivan Watson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Truck leaves Watson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
As Watson backs off Truck throws a huge counter combo but Watson manages to avoid it all.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Let's hope that Truck has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Truck has a takedown stuffed.
Truck takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Truck closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Watson tries a body shot but Truck blocks it.
Watson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Truck smiles and moves away.

Watson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Truck to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Well Truck has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
