The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andonov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Khaliq Khalid but Khaliq Khalid pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Andonov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Khaliq Khalid's waist but Khaliq Khalid gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Andonov off to one side.
Khaliq Khalid throws a body punch but Andonov moves out of range.
Khaliq Khalid throws the left hand but Andonov avoids the punch easily.
Khaliq Khalid throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Andonov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Andonov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Andonov shoots in for a double leg but Khaliq Khalid sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Khaliq Khalid lands a big uppercut and Andonov crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Andonov looks OK. Khaliq Khalid waves Andonov back to his feet!

Andonov wants the takedown. Khaliq Khalid is fighting it off but Andonov persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Khaliq Khalid's guard against the cage.

Khaliq Khalid is pulling down on Andonov's head. It's preventing any offense from Andonov, at least for the moment.
Let's hope that Khaliq Khalid has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Andonov seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Khaliq Khalid feints a jab promting Andonov to slip. Khaliq Khalid then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Andonov slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Andonov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khaliq Khalid tries to avoid it but Andonov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khaliq Khalid to the ground. Khaliq Khalid escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
