PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Ken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rhys Arthur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rhys Arthur told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arthur moves to clinch but Ken breaks away

and Ken counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ken.
Ken showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Ken decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Arthur, up you get!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ken clinches.

Ken turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ken manages to end up in side control.

Arthur is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Ken stands up and beckons Arthur to his feet.
Arthur misses with an attempted mid kick.
Arthur tries to clinch but Ken moves out of range.
Arthur loads up on a big right hand but Ken slips the punch.
Ken keeps the fight on the outside.

Arthur wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Arthur is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Ken pulls guard.

Ken pulls Arthur in close to prevent any damage.

Ken scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Arthur moves out of range as Ken throws a body kick.

Ken closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Arthur wants to get back to his feet but Ken is dominant here and he's now got Arthur's back!
Arthur looks winded!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Arthur is trying to remain composed but Ken is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Can Arthur hold on?! Ken is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Ken has managed to slip his arm under Arthur's chin. This could be all over... yep, Arthur is tapping out! Submission win for Ken.
